Cloud Sync allows you to securely back up your fitness data to our cloud servers (powered by Supabase). Your workouts, habits, body weight logs, and measurements can be accessed across devices when you sign in with your Google or Apple account.
Cloud Sync is optional — you can use the app entirely offline with local-only storage.
When you enable Cloud Sync, the following data is backed up to our secure cloud database:
Yes. All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL (HTTPS). Data at rest in our database is also encrypted.
We use Row-Level Security (RLS) policies in our database — only you can access your own data. Even our support team cannot view your private fitness information.
Cloud Sync is enabled automatically when you sign in with Google or Apple. If you want to disable it:
Note: Disabling Cloud Sync does not delete your cloud data. You can re-enable it anytime to resume syncing.
Yes. The app works fully offline. When you're not connected to the internet, all your workouts and data are saved locally on your device. When you reconnect, the app will automatically sync your changes to the cloud (if Cloud Sync is enabled).
If you don't sign in with Google or Apple, all your data stays exclusively on your device. Nothing is backed up to the cloud. You can still use the full app features locally.
Yes. Sign in with the same Google or Apple account on another device, and your cloud-synced data will automatically appear. Local data does not sync — only cloud data does.
You can delete your account and all associated cloud data from within the app:

Currently, we don't have a built-in export feature. However, you can access all your local data by using an app backup utility. For cloud data exports, please contact us at [email protected].
Local data is deleted when you uninstall. Cloud data is preserved and will be restored when you reinstall and sign in again with the same account.
We use OAuth 2.0 authentication via Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In. We never store your password — authentication is handled securely by Google and Apple.
Cloud data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Supabase's secure infrastructure. Each user's data is protected by:

Cloud data always has priority for multidevice scenarios. Local data is never automatically deleted unless you clear app data.
Fit Terminal doesn't use passwords. Sign in with Google or Apple instead. If you forgot your OAuth account password, use your provider's account recovery process.
